Joe Green, Jr. was born to the late Joe and Ether Green, Sr. on March 8, 1946 in Star City, AR.

He attended school in Crossett at T.W. Daniel School. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sitting around having fun with whomever he came in contact with.

He was an active member of Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a faithful choir member and helper as needed.

He departed this wonderful life on January 6, 2016, at the Ashley County Medical Center. He was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers: Russell Green and Jessie Green, one sister: Onnie Russ.

FOUR SISTERS: Viola Rochelle of Star City, AR, Ethel (Clarence) Hatch of Stuttgart, AR, Birthola (Elbert) Webb of Crossett, AR and Lillian Gibson of Crossett, AR. FOUR GRANDCHILDREN: Venita (Brian) Miles, Kevin (Ashley) Dawson, Roderick Green, Jr., and Myricle Green. FOUR GREAT- GRANDCHILDREN: Jania Miles, Brian Miles, Jr. Cade Green and Zion Green.  A VERY SPECIAL FRIEND: Patricia Lindsey

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M, Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 11:00 A.M. until 7:00 P. M. Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, Arkansas.
