Rosalyn Marie Avery Gardner was born on May 20 1954 in Wilmar, Arkansas to Mrs. Ollie Beatrice Avery and Mr. Elkin Avery. She confessed to Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Wilmar, Arkansas. She attended Wilmar School and she was a homemaker.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin D. Gardner; her mother, Ollie B. Avery; her father, Elkin Avery; Her son, Jonathon Avery; two sisters and two brothers.
    She leaves to cherish her memories: One son: Talvin D. Gardner of Monticello, AR; One daughter: Brenda M. Gardner of Monticello, AR;  Three grandchildren: Tiyunah Gardner, Traven Gardner, Trinity Gardner. Five sisters: Deborah Daniels of Lacy, AR, Sylvia V. Carr of Monticello, AR, Evangeline Carr of Wilmar, AR, Dethra Gardner of Wilmar, AR, Valerie Carr of Wilmar, AR, Four brothers: Herbert Avery of Wilmar, AR, Dexter Carr of Monticello, AR, Orlando Baker of Pine Bluff, AR, Michael Webb of Pine Bluff, AR; One aunt: Irma McChorn of Crossett, AR. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

 Funeral service will be held Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church of Wilmar, AR at 1:00 pm. Public viewing will be Friday, June 17, 2016 from 11 until service time at the church. Burial will follow in the Turner Hill Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR
