Lester William McGathy, Sr. 81, was born on May 1, 1934 to the late John Henry McGathy and Lura Ross in Silver City, MS.
 Lester left his walk of life on September 10, 2015 in Pine Bluff, AR.  Lester was preceded in death by his parents: John Henry McGathy and Lura Ross McGathy; one sister: Margie Bell Wright; two brothers: Chester W. McGathy and Robert Louis McGathy and two grandchildren James C. McGathY, Jr. and Mary McGathy Linzy.

    Lester is Survived by his wife of 48 years Annie Loyce Henson McGathy, 2 sons Lester W. McGathy Jr. and his wife Louetta of Emmett, AR; James C. McGathy Sr. and his wife Barbara of Searcy, AR; 6 daughters Lucinda McGathy Penick and her husband David Of Monticello, AR, Leslie McGathy Harrington and husband James of Emmett AR, Linda McGathy Penick of Florence, MS,  and Tracie McGathy Gill and husband David of Prescott, AR, Judy Patton of Milpitas, CA and Audrey McGathy Sims and her husband Roy of Cottonwood CA.  1 Sister Emma Jean McGathy Davis and husband Ronnie of Pangburn, AR.
As well as 21 Grand Children, 23 Great Grand Children and 2 Great Great Grand Children. Lester is also survived by 2 Aunts: Anna Bell McGathy Baxter of Leheing Aces, Fl. Ruth Ross of Mississippi, and 10 Nieces and 4 Nephews and a host of Great Nieces and Nephews and Cousins

Funeral Service will be held Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Faith Pentecostal Church of God in McGehee, AR at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow in the Scott Cemetery in Winchester, AR under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service in Crossett, AR.
