     Mr. Darnell Lancaster 57, of Montrose, Ar. departed this life on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at his residence. Darnell Lancaster Sr. was born on July 16, 1957 to Golden Lancaster and Melvina Tibbett-Steward.
     Mr. Lancaster graduated from Portland High School and afterward he joined the United States Army, where he served for 4 years. In 1980 he moved to Milwaukee, WI and worked at the Milwaukee Paper Board. He later move to Little Rock, AR where he owned a business called Lancaster Janitorial Supply. In 1988 he moved to Montrose, AR and resided there until his health failed him.
    Mr. Lancaster was married to Mary Newton-Lancaster, and to this union  two children were born, Shaherah Lancaster and Darnell Lancaster, Jr.
    Mr. Lancaster turned his life over to Christ and was baptized when he joined First Baptist of Montrose, where Jim Hadley was his pastor.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Golden Lancaster; his step-father, Eddie Stewart; one sister, Pamela Martinez; and one brother, Antonio Brown.
    He leaves to cherish his precious memories: His wife, Mary Newton-Lancaster of Montrose, AR; one daughter, Shaherah Lancaster of Montrose, AR; one son, Darnell(Keistah) Lancaster, Jr. of Hot Springs, AR; his mother, Melvina Tibbett-Steward; four sisters, Susie(Carl)Rolling of Wilmot, AR; Diane Brown of Southaven, MS; Angela Brown of Leland, MS and Helen(Edward)Frazier of Bastrop, LA; six brothers, Willie Lancaster of Montrose, AR; Eddie Stewart, Jr. of Portland, AR; Walter(Mary Ann)Lancaster of Portland, AR; Albert(Marcie) Stewart of Lancaster, CA; Melvin(Sherlene)Stewart of Warren, AR and Leroy Brown of Greenville, MS.; nine grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews family and friends who loved him dearly.

    Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 11:00 at the St. Peters Baptist Church in Montrose, Ar.  Visitation will be held  from 11:00 to 7:00 Friday, July 10, 2015 at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Montrose Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, Ar.
