Mary Irene “Rena” Fisher of Hamburg, Arkansas was born on September 16, 1943, to the late Balam and Mary Jacob in Milo, Arkansas. She was one of fourteen children.
On March 14, 2014 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas, Mary completed her journey on earth and went to her heavenly home. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers: Lonnie Earl Jacob Sr., Earnest Jacob, T.H. Jacob, Willie Earl Jacob Sr., George Lee Jacob Sr., and Bruin Jacob; three sisters: Bernice Robinson, Marie Cason, and Hazel Scott; and one grandson, Christopher Allen Howard.
She was a faithful member of the Epistles of God Church of Deliverance, where she served on the usher board.
Ms. Fisher leaves to cherish her memories: Three daughters: Eddie Mae Charleston of Hamburg, AR, Carolyn (Willie) Stanley of Crossett, AR and Tammy Jacob, of Hamburg; Four sons: Freddie (Betty) Charleston of Crossett, AR, Tony (Carrie) of Crossett, AR, Richard Jacob of Hamburg, AR; and Darwin Fisher of New Boston, TX. Four sisters: L.V. (Thurman) Bradley of Hamburg, AR, Christie Lee Davis of Hamburg, AR, Dorthy Jones of Greenville, MS and Marine Caristi of Long Beach, California; One brother, Leon Jacob of Long Beach, California. Twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends that loved her dearly.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday March 19, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Epistles of God Church of Deliverance in Hamburg, AR. Visitation will be held Wednesday March 18, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Pugh Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, Arkansas.
