LeDell (Buddy Boy) Williams, 75 was born in Texarkana, Arkansas on November 7, 1940 to the late Elee and Elizabeth Williams. He graduated from Washington High there in Texarkana. He later moved to Crossett where he remained until the Lord called him home on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Ashley County Medical Center.  He accepted Christ at an early age.

Buddy Boy was a “jack of all trade,” and helped many people around the area, especially the elderly.  He loved helping others and working with his hands. He was smart and hardworking.   One of his favorite phrases was, “go buddy boy go!” He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Roosevelt Williams and John McCowan; two sisters; Dattie Curry and Mollie Boykin; one great granddaughter: Niki Brown and one great grandson: Daylon Brown.
He leaves to cherish his memory: three daughters; Lisa Frazier of Las Vegas, NV, Margaret Everett of Rowlett, TX and Myricle Robinson of Crossett, AR. Two sons: Richard Ellis of Texarkana, TX and Ledon Robinson of Crossett, AR. Seven brothers; Johnny Williams and Robert (Sue) Williams of Texarkana, AR, Phil (Elizabeth) McCowan of Richmond, CA, Frank (Doris) McCowan and Leroy McCowan of Oakland, CA, Lee McCowan (Buck) and  Henry McCowan of Tucson, AZ. Six sisters: Elizabeth Webb Texarkana, AR, Beatrice (Chester) Miller of Crossett, AR, Darlene (Jesse) Williams-Shackelford of Richmond, CA, Betty Jo McCowan –Jones of Sacramento, CA, Bernice McCowan-Weatherless and Flossie McCowan-Lamay of Tucson, AZ, one sister-n-law Precious Williams, of Texarkana, TX, five grandchildren and one great grandson.  Two Aunts: Maddie Bell Williams and Ladonia Lewis.Several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends…
Special nephew and nieces; Bobby and Karen Woodberry and Larita Pendarvis…whom he lived with on as he called it the “Ponderosa” in West Crossett……a special friend Karen (Bright eyes) McDade……

Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Pleasant Green MBC in Crossett, AR. Visitation will be Friday, June 24, 2016 from 11 until 7 at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the Westveiw Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
