Kimberly Denice Stokes, age 38, went to be with the Lord on February 9, 2015 after a long courageous battle with her illness. “Kim”, as she was affectionately known, was born to the late Darryl Wayne Stokes Sr. and Eunice Lovern Stokes in Lake Village, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her father, Darryl Wayne Stokes Sr. in 1998, and her fraternal grandparents, LaDella Gray Stokes of Wilmot and Clement Stokes of Little Rock.

                She leaves to cherish her loving memory: her mother Eunice Stokes of Wilmot, AR., her stepdad, Bill Kitchens of Wilmot, AR., her maternal grandparents, Arthur Penn and Julia Faye Penn; one son, Darren O’Neal McAdoo (Shakeria) of Monticello, two daughters, Deniqua Denay Marie McAdoo and Kennidy Elis Jenkins, both of Wilmot, AR. A very special friend, Kenneth Jenkins, who has been by her side for the past fifteen years; one grandchild Aaron O’Neal McAdoo, one brother, Darryl Wayne Stokes, Jr. (Melony) of Little Rock, AR., two sisters, Latasha Bankston and Ladella Stokes, both of Little Rock, AR., and a host of aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that loved her with all their heart.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015, at 11:00, at the First Baptist Church of Wilmot, Ar. Visitation will be held Friday, February 13, 2015, from 11:00 to 7:00 at the funeral home.  Active pallbeares are Robert Penn, Greg Walker, Leonard Slack, Darren McAdoo Sr., Willie James Penn, and Charles Raino.  Burial will follow in the Second Baptist Church Cemetery in Wilmot, Ar. under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, Ar.
