Irma L. Thurman-Tate was born to the late Levi and Cariola Thurman on March 19, 1940 in Wilmar, AR. She departed this life on Monday May 8, 2017 in Pine Bluff, AR. 
    Irma was a member of the Living Word COGIC. She received her education at the Wilmar High School. 
    She was a homemaker who loved her family. She loved going to church and she loved to fish. She was preceded in death by her father: Levi Thurman, her mother: Cariola Thurman, one son: Joe Jackson, three brothers: Freddie Brown, James Willis Thurman and Levi Thurman, Jr., five sisters: Norma Jean Arrington, Ollie B. Thurman-Avery. Rosie M. Thurman, Ethel Lene Harris, and Etha Mae Jackson.
She Leaves To Cherish Her Memories:
   Six sons: Marvin Thurman(Rossia) of Bastrop, LA, Jessie Tate(Stephanie), Jimmy Tate, Richard Tate, Undrea Tate, Jeffery Tate(LaJetta) all of Crossett, AR; Two daughters: Sharon Jackson of Ladera, CA and Darlene Tate of Crossett, AR. She had 24 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. Mrs.Tate also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and a host of loved ones.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Living Word COGIC of Crossett, AR.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 12, 2017 from 11 AM until 7 PM at the chapel of Mitchell Memorial.

Burial will follow in the Turner-Hill Cemetery in Wilmar, AR under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
