Mrs. Cynthia Ellison,  45 of Strong, Ar.  departed this life on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Arkansas Hospice Center in Little Rock, Ar.  Mrs. Ellison was born on March 9, 1970 to the late T. J. Benton Sr. and Lue Ella Howell Benton in Strong, Ar.  Mrs. Ellison was married to Mr. Clayton Ellison.  Mrs. Ellison is preceded in death by her father T. J. Benton Sr. and brother La Salle James Benton.

Mrs. Ellsion attended Ward Chapel C. M. E. Church of Strong, Ar.  Mrs. Ellison was a 1988 Strong High School graduate and a Certified Nurse Assisstant for the Union County Health Department.  Her recreational activities included: fishing, gardening, and social outings with family and friends.

Mrs. Ellsion leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Clayton Ellison Strong, Ar., daughter, Charonda Redden Strong, Ar., son, Demantrey Benton Strong, Ar., mother Lue Ella Benton Strong, Ar.; six sisters, Minnie B. Martin (MC Martin) Chicago, IL., Lavetta Smith (Bobby Dell Smith) Huttig, Ar., Iris Shelbon Farmerville, La., Teresa Hamilton Strong, Ar., Arnetta Benton El Dorado, Ar., Evet Mitchell (George Mitchell Jr.) Marion, La., two brothers, Glen Dale Benton (Kathleen) El Dorado, Ar., T. J. Benton Jr. Little Rock, Ar.  Mrs. Ellsion also leaves six nieces, six nephews, four great nieces, nine great nephews, a special friend Gloria Craytor Thrower and a host of other family and friends.

 Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 1:00 at the Curry Chapel A. M. E. Church of Strong, Ar. with Rev. Aluster O. Hamilton officiating.  Visitation will be held Friday, May 29, 2015  from 1:00 to 7:00 at the funeral home and from 12:00 until service time at the church.  Burial will follow in the Ward Chapel Cemetery in Strong, Ar. under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, Ar.
