Bettie Brewster Manning 86, of Farmerville, LA departed this life on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at her residence. A beautiful woman, born to the late Claude and Lizzie Brewster on November 20, 1930. She was preceded in death by: Five siblings: Floyd Brewster, Andrew Brewster, Romey Brewster, Billy Brewster, and Bubba Brewster. And two Grandchildren: Chyreisse Odom and Dewayne Mattox.

She accepted Christ at an early age at Gum Spring Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA. Later she joined Lane Chapel Baptist Church. Bettie was married to the late James Woods, a union to which seven children were born. She later married the late Lewis Manning.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Seven children: Mary (John) Jiles, Perry (Terry) Woods, Sandra Mattox, Kenneth (Alice) Woods, Carl (Suzanne) Woods, Linda (Rickey) Taylor, Deborah (Charles) Bowie. One sister: Gloria Chaudoin in Folsom, California. 13 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren.

Bettie, Madea, was a loving mother and grandmother. She was always concerned about the well being of her children and grandchildren. She would go above and beyond for her family and would give the shirt off her back for someone in need.

Funeral service will be Saturday February 4, 2017 at 11:00AM at Lane Chapel Baptist Church in Downsville, LA. Burial will follow at Lane Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
