Virgil Miller, Jr. of Crossett, AR was born on April 12, 1958, to the late Virgil Miller, Sr. and Alzora Harris-Miller in Hamburg, AR.
On February 1, 2020, Virgil entered into eternal rest at the St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son: Martrel Jabor Wagner, Sr. three brothers: L.V. Miller “Snapper”, Johnny Lee, and Elijah Miller “BoBo”; two sisters: Elizabeth Miller Cobbs “Liz” and Gracie Miller-Brock “Grace”
Virgil was married to Lawanda Miller and they shared many inseparable years together. He was as humble as a dove. He loved fishing and being helpful to anyone he could help. Virgil totally surrendered his life to Christ in 2000. He was an active, faithful member of Epistles of God Church of Deliverance under the leadership of Dr. Mary Arnold until God called him home. He enjoyed hearing his son (Courtney) preaching and breaking the word down and also loved joking around with his daughter Ayanna.
He leaves to cherish his memories: His wife: LaWanda Canley-Miller of Crossett, AR; three daughters: LaSonya Miller (Robert) of Pine Bluff, AR, Ayanna Wagner-Gilliam (Raymond) and Latova Tucker-Fritz (Craig) both of Crossett, AR; 2 sons: Courtney Harris (Robie) and Santorrio both of Seattle Washington; 2 grandsons whom he raised as his very own: Martel Wagner, Jr. and Latrel Wagner of Seattle, WA; nine siblings: Erma Perry and Lee Marvin (Tonya) of Hamburg, AR, Larry (Jolene) Miller, Jerry Miller, Nathaniel Miller all of Crossett, AR and Etherine Davis of Dumas, AR, Verdell Briso, Janice Murphy, and Juanita Miller, all of Chicago, IL 27 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren one special sister-in-law: Jacque Canley Gray, and host of nieces, nephew, and loved ones.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 15, 2020, at the Epistles of God Church of Deliverance in Hamburg, AR under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
