Rodricus “Rod” Antonio Lewis was born August 28, 1976, in El Dorado, Arkansas to the parents of Donnie Lewis and Darlene Frazier. He passed away on November 26, 2023, in El Dorado, Arkansas.
Rod graduated from El Dorado High School in 1994, he later joined the US Navy on August 14, 1994, attending boot camp at Naval Training Center Great Lakes, Illinois, and continuing to ship Serviceman A school in Meridian Mississippi. Rod’s first duty station was the USS Denver LP D-9 in San Diego, CA where he meticulously ran the shop's store. Rod continued his naval career and traveled the world on various warships until his retirement on August 14, 2014. Rodricus is preceded in death by his loving grandparents Hershey and Willie Mae Lowery.
He is survived by his mother Darlene Frazier, and his father Donnie Ray Lewis. His sons Ladarius Lewis and Brian Lewis (Zaria). He is also survived by his sisters Checoata Levingston(Nathan), Meme Lewis, and Jarurica Lewis, and brothers Marcus Levingston, Treshaun Lewis, all of El Dorado, Arkansas. And special Aunt Felecia Green(Edward) of Strong Arkansas, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and shipmates from the US Navy. Rod loved traveling while serving his country and had been to 15 countries around the world. Memorial service will be held on December 29, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Starlight Missionary Baptist Church in El Dorado, AR.
