Ollie Langstaff Obituary

LIFE JOURNEY
On May 15, 1955, Ollie Marie Williams was born to the late Addie B. Carlock Williams and the late Booker Thomas Williams.   She was the fourth of eleven children.
Marie was a life-long resident of Crossett Arkansas where she attended T. W. Daniel Elementary School. She was a 1974 graduate of Crossett High School and attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello.   At an early age, she united with New Bethel Missionary Baptist church under the leadership of the late Pastor B. J. Jackson and has continued her membership under the leadership of Pastor Jesse Radford, Jr.
In 1975, Ollie Marie Williams was joined in holy matrimony to Roy Langstaff.  To that union three children were born – Katherine, Roy, Jr. and Kimberly.
Sister Langstaff was employed by Georgia Pacific Plywood Mill and Chase Bag, Inc., before she became self-employed at Marie’s Hair Design until her eyesight began to fail.  She also worked as a substitute teacher.   Marie served both her family, church and community.  In addition to being a nurturer and provider for her three children, she was a former Gospel Choir member, a long-time craft coordinator for Vacation Bible School (until death).  She was vice-president of the Arkansas Extension Homemakers Potpourri Club, a 4-H Leader for Ashley County, and a Leader for The Boy Scouts of America.
Sister Marie loved sewing, making crafts, knitting, cooking, talking on the phone, spending time with family and friends and playing dominoes.
Sister Marie Langstaff passed away peacefully on February 22, 2020, at the age of 64, while at Stonegate Villa Health and Rehabilitation in Crossett, Arkansas.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Katherine D. Langstaff Hill, one infant brother, Larry Dale Williams, and two sisters, Viola Williams White and Izola Williams.
Cherishing her memories are:  a son:  Roy (Erica) Langstaff, Jr.; a daughter: Kimberly Langstaff, both of  Crossett, Arkansas; four brothers: Glendell Williams and Tony (Ann) Williams both of Crossett, Arkansas, Robert Williams, Sr. of Clinton, Mississippi, and Earnest (Lyla) Williams of Leawood, Kansas; three sisters:  Ressie Williams of Tigard, Oklahoma, Vastine (Murlee) Carter of Crossett, Arkansas, and Sherry Williams of Independence, Missouri;  grandchildren; great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
