Mary Thorton

Mary Thorton was born to Izora Green on July 15, 1955 in Crossett, AR.  Ms. Izora preceded her in death shortly after birth and then Mary was adopted by Bro. Mitchell Charles Green and Sis. Sealie Mae Green.

Mary was a member of Living Word Church of God in Christ. Mary loved the Lord with all her heart. She loved helping others, going to church and working in her flowerbed. Most of all she loved her boys.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Izora Green; adoptive parents: Mitchell Charles and Sealie Mae Green; one son: Artenus Cason; one sister: Eula Mae Green; four brothers: Mitchell Green, Willie Jr. Green, Grady Dawson and Bobby Jean.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Three sons: Emilio Cason, Neal Cason (Mitchell), Faustino Cason all of Crossett, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Jamar, Sharetta and Kingston all of Crossett, Arkansas; two great grandchildren: Trinity and Taylor of Crossett, Arkansas; one sister Ruby Phifer of Crossett, Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the Living Word COGIC.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023, at the chapel of Mitchell Memorial from 5 until 7.

Burial will follow in the Ryles Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
