Limmie Mack Davis was born on November 25, 1960, to Sylvester and Mildred Haney Davis in Jones, Louisiana. He departed this life on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, Mississippi.
Mike, as he was known, was a 1979 graduate of Hamburg High School. He spent his early working years as a saw operator for several Ashley County companies including James Carter and the Bierbaums. After a workplace injury, he found his true calling as a landscape artist. He spent many years perfecting his craft, and you would often see his girls working beside him. He taught them the value of hard work while they were young. Anything he put his hand to would flourish and grow. He took great pride in his work. He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Sylvester Davis and Mildred Williams.
He will be missed on this side by his devoted wife, Sue Ingram Davis, and their daughters, Laketra Davis and Sabrina (Curtis) Davis-Mann, both of Texas. Brothers: Willie (Celia) Davis of St. Louis, Missouri, Vance (Diane) Davis of Hamburg, Arkansas and Steve Davis of Monroe, Louisiana; Sisters: Katie Moseby of Conway, Arkansas and Rosemary Sales of Monroe, Louisiana; Grandson: Limmie Nasir Mann and Granddaughters: Zipporah White Irie Mann all of Texas; Mother in law: Gerlie Ingram of Hamburg, Arkansas; Special cousin: Wayne (Sandra) Rhodes of Texas a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Graveside service was held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 17, 2023, at the Trousdale Hill Cemetery in Collinston, LA.
Burial followed in the Trousdale Hill Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
