LaKelsie Janai Johnson

LaKelsie Janai Johnson was born on May 2, 2003, to Steven and Tina Johnson at Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village, AR. LaKelsie attended Hunter’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where she was active in the youth department. 

LaKelsie was a Senior at Crossett High School, where she was a clarinet player in the CHS Band.

LaKelsie is preceded in death by her mother, Tina Austin-Johnson, her brother Steven “Lil Dude” Johnson, Jr., her parental grandfather Lovell Johnson, Sr; her maternal grandparents Jessie and Carrie Austin, and her uncle Roy Lee Grayson.

LaKelsie leaves to cherish her memory, her father and step-mother Steven and Roshunda Johnson, three brothers; Chaderick Austin, Steven “Steve Bo” Johnson, Jr., and Steffon Johnson, three sisters; Tyeshia Johnson, Donyell Johnson, and Haleigh Boston, two nephews; Chaderick Austin, Jr. and Christian Wells, three nieces; Kayden Austin, Kameron Austin, and Aja Lagrange, a special cousin Perry “PJ” Williams, Jr., her best friend Makayla Foster, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Westview Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 11 until 7 at the chapel of Mitchell Memorial.

Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
