Ken Wesley Thomas of Crossett, AR, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2020 at the age of 62. He will be remembered as a hard-working, fun and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Ken worked at Potlatch in Warren, AR until 1990, after, Ken moved his family to Crossett, AR, where he worked at Georgia Pacific as a forklift driver in Tissue Shipping until he retired. Ken loved to fish, watch sports, grill, be around family, and play with his fur babies. Ken was born in Warren, AR on July 18, 1957 to parents K.W. Thomas and Bobbie Williams-Thomas.
He was raised in Warren, AR and graduated from Warren High School in 1975. After graduating high school and received a basketball scholarship, Ken attended college at the University of the Ozarks. Ken was inducted into the Warren Lumberjacks Sports Hall of Fame in May of 2019.
Ken is preceded in death by a daughter, (Rosalynn Rayshun Thomas); his parents, (K.W. and Bobbie Williams-Thomas); and two sisters, (Kathryn Thomas-Jenkins and Kay Carol Thomas).
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cynthia Ann Stanley-Thomas; daughter, Tomona Hagood of Crossett, AR; son, Brian Thomas and wife Tabetha Thomas of Little Rock, AR; grandchildren: Rosalind Smith and Brian Thomas Jr; 3 sisters, Odie Thomas, Bridgitte Thomas, and Jane Thomas all of Warren, AR; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles that had his heart. Ken also leaves behind two fur babies that he loves and will always cherish, (Bud and Boss Thomas). The family wishes to acknowledge a special niece, Brandy Thomas, who was like a daughter to him.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
