Jurdisha Betters

Jurdisha Betters of Strong, AR was born on January 6, 1989 in Eldorado, AR to Cheri Newton and was blessed to have two fathers; Bennie Ford, Sr and Kelphes "Keitha" Betters.

Jurdisha was a 2007 Graduate of Strong High School. She graduated with a bachelor's degree as a social worker in 2012 at the University of Arkansas in Pine Bluff.  She loved to write and had written various articles. Jurdisha was employed at the Aerojet Rocketyne in Camden, AR, and she was a member of the Vikett Society Inc. On Saturday September 28, 2019 Jurdisha departed this life in Strong, AR.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Three children: Canelius Betters, Zamirah Shaw, and Kamauri Briggs; her parents: Bennie Ford, Sr. and Cheri Newton; her siblings: Kenneth Newton, Curtis Smith, Bennie Ford, Jr. Dorthea Daniels and Necco Smith, A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Strong, AR.

Burial will follow in the Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
