James Fuller Obituary

James Fuller, Sr. (aka Mickey) 74 years old, was one of ten children, (four of whom were sons) born to the union of Archie and Eunice Walker. After the death of his mother Eunice, he was adopted at the age of four by a relative of the family, Adeline and Charlie Fuller, who changed his name to Fuller, which last name he used as part of his identity until his death on December 9, 2018. He was a grandfather and father of two children; James and Jannetta, both of whom along with their families lived in Houston, TX. In 1995 he met Thelma Joyce Barnett in San Diego, Ca. along with her 2 children and grandchildren who he accepted as his own. In the year 2000 they moved to Arkansas where they were later married. 

Mickey (Fuller) attended School in Fort Worth, TX Independence School District where he graduated and thereafter joined the military at age 17 years old. He served in the United States Navy and retired at 38 the 20 years of service. He retired as a Chief Warrant Officer. After retiring from the Navy he was employed in the Navy shipyard for the next 20 years when he again retired.

Mickey (Fuller) was preceded in death by his grandmother and grandfather: Minnie Jones and Willie Walker; his mother and father: Eunice Jackson Walker and Archie Walker; five of his sisters: Myrtle Garvin, Geraldine Charity, Mildred Tillis and Billie Faye Liggons, all of whom lived in San Diego, CA and Lela Mae Jesse of Tyler, TX, as well as brothers Willie Walker and Tommie Earl Walker of Fort Worth, TX.

He leaves to cherish his memories: His wife: Thelma Barnett-Fuller of Monticello, AR; Two children: James Fuller, Jr.  and Jannetta Fuller both of Houston, TX; Two sister: Ruby Brown of Tyler Texas and Carmen Jefferson of Albuquerque New Mexico and one brother: Charles Walker of St Louis MO, one grandchild and generations of nieces, nephew and host of other relative

Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018, at the Westside Church of Christ Church in Fountain Hill, AR at 12:00 pm.

Burial will follow in the Norris Hill Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
