Hazel Mae Howell

Hazel Howell was born on May 30, 1943, to the late Clay Henry Howell and Media Phifer Howell in Strong, Arkansas. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age while at Ward Chapel CME Church. Hazel was a pillar of the community and did work for the community. 

She was preceded in death by her son: Robert Howell and grandson: Edwardian D'Robert Howell; her sisters: Mae Ella Davis, Lue Ella Benton, and Kerry Palmer; her brothers: TG Howell, LG Howell, Alex Howell, Sammy Howell, Henry Richard Howell, and Clay Henry Howell, Jr. 

She leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter: Gracey Howell; Four grandchildren: Sean Howell, Jamion Howell, Zariah Howell, and Kariah Bass, One great-grandson: Zechariah Howell; one sister: Rose Mary Daniels and one Goddaughter: Redenna Tate and a host of nieces, nephews and friends

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Strong, AR.

Visitation will be held from 4 until 6 Friday, February 21, 2025, at the chapel of Mitchell Memorial.

Burial will follow in the Ward Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett. AR
