Glean Armstead was born July 3, 1962, in Parkdale, Arkansas to the union of the late Willie J. Armstead and Dasie L. Armstead. He was preceded in death by Elmo J. Armstead (brother), Ella M. Gross (sister) and Jakeria L. Childs (granddaughter).
Glean Armstead was a caring person who worked in the nursing field for 34 years. He was a person full of joy, a traveler at heart and a heart that was full of love for everyone. There was not a place he visited that he didn’t consider home.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Glen Armstead, Monica Armstead, Liporchia Cobbs of Crossett, Arkansas; Tiffany Watts and Latoya Martin of Kansas City, Missouri. His brothers and sisters: James D. Armstead, Eddie D. Armstead, John H. Armstead, Ethel M. (Ray) Stephens, Catherine Smith, Willie Mae Trice, Gwenzetter M. (Phillip E.) Townsend and Tenia M. Armstead of Kansas City, Missouri, Steven B. Armstead of Little Rock, Arkansas, James Curry, Rosemary Curry, and Luvenia (John) Brown of Bossier, Louisiana, Angelo (Diana) Curry of Killeen, Texas, Tyson (Earnstine) Armstead of Douglas, Georgia, Willie Jean Curry, Gladys (Hughs) Johnes of Parkdale, Arkansas, Prustina Curry & Ann (Donnil) Rafter of Eudora, Arkansas, Loretta (Thaddeus) Poe of Prattville, Alabama, and Rev. John (Vergarline) Ashton of Shreveport, Louisiana along with 20 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
