Earlie Eugene Edwards

Earlie Edwards of Crossett, AR was born to Louis Garland Edwards and Vernesteen Brown on April 16, 1951 in Crossett, AR. On March 3, 2020, Mr. Edwards completed his earthly life peacefully at home. Preceding him in death was his parents, four brothers: Eugene Edwards, Levell Edwards, Marcus Edward, and Frankie G; one sister: Joyce Edwards.
 
Mr. Edwards loved his family, enjoyed taking trips and he loved telling jokes. He especially loved his wife. He met, and married Barbara Burks on September 30, 1994 and they continue their love until the day of his calling. Earlie was a hardworking man. He worked for the City of Crossett until he retired in 2004.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of 25 years, Barbara Burks-Edwards of Crossett, AR, two children: Donald (Janet)Edward and Dorian Edward; two grandchildren: Desiree Edwards  and Ja’niah Fields; three brothers: Cardell (Netra) Edwards, Wayne Edwards, Sherwood Edwards; Five Sisters: Faye Rochelle, Lizzy (Elbert) Gibbs, Barbara Kay Edwards, Rose Marie (Manual) Black and Annie Collins; bonus children:  Larry (Katina) Federson , Donnie Burks(Valerie), Derrick Burks, Jefferson (Natalie) Holyfield, Jr, Andrianne Green, Barbara Burks (Jarvis), 19 bonus grandchildren, 1 bonus great-grandchild , bonus brother: Dennis (Roslyn) Tucker and a host of nieces nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020 from 1 until 7 at the chapel.

Burial will follow in the Quinn Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
