Sister Earlene Thrower Hollins passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones and friends, on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at the Nightingale nursing facility in Crossett. She was born in, Strong ArR, on March 28, 1951, to the late, Lasha Thrower and Almetha Moore. Sis. Hollins accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age, after moving from Hamburg Ar., she grew up in the West Crossett community. She became a faithful member of the Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and was assistant youth director before joining Gates Chapel AME Church. She graduated from T. W. Daniel High School, class of 1969. She was a treasure to her family and friends and found joy in sharing with everyone she met.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by, her stepfather Nathaniel Blake, stepbrother Thomas Mays Sr., stepsister Cleatrice Smith, and nephew Nathaniel Adam.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Tonya (Edward) Brown, and Taffany (David) Hampton of Crossett Ar. Grandchildren, Keith Howard Jr. of Lake City Utah, Jada J. Wilson of North Little Rock Ar., Zaria Jhane Hollins of Atlanta Ga., and Kybron D'marea Hollins of Conway Ar. Step grandchildren, Shanae (Dre) Williams, Clarksdale Ms., Spencer Govan, Michael Jenkins, of Crossett Ar. and Diamond Brown, Conway Ar. Great-grandchildren, Jrue, and Jett McDaniel, Step great-grandchildren, Ashton, and Sevyn Govan, Jenasey Reed, and Nash Williams. Three brothers Cleopher Moore, of St. Louis Mo, Michael (Silvia) Adams, of Chicago III. Lexie Lewis of Crossett Ar. One sister/cousin Ardellia Mays, one brother/cousin, Ray Daniels, and three special friends, Lucresha Thomas, Lillian Allen, and Helen Brown all of Crossett Ar., one Goddaughter Dottie Marie Taylor of Monroe, La., Godson Michael Adam, of Atlanta Ga., many bonus children, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and friends
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 20, 2025, at the Gates Chapel AME Church in Crossett, AR.
Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR
