Derrick L Williams

Derrick L. Williams was born September 17, 1979, in Lake Village, Arkansas, to Glorie Cobbs and Lorenzo Williams SR. He was joined in Holy Matrimony with Marchandria Sawyer on July 24, 2007. Derrick departed his earthly home on October 23, 2024, at St Vincent Hospital in Sherwood, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, Zelma and Milton Cobbs and Bessie Lee and Andrew Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 17 years, Marchandria Sawyer, and his children, J’nya Williams, Isaac Sawyer & Zavion Brown of Crossett, Arkansas, and Zandarious Barnes of Hamburg, Arkansas. His parents, Glory Cobbs of Lake Village, Arkansas, and Lorenzo Williams SR of Killeen, Texas. His siblings Javontae Black & Lazerrick Black of McGhee, Arkansas and Antonio Anderson of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Turkessa Williams of Cypress, Texas, Lorenzo Williams Jr (Morgan), Sharnette Williams, Shenita Burke, and Tremaine Williams of Killeen, Texas along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Union Baptist Church in Parkdale, AR.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Friday, November 1, 2024 at the Chapel of Mitchell.

Cremation arrangement will follow under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service.
