Corey Lamonte Harrison, Jr.

Corey Harrison, Jr. of Milwaukee, WI formerly of Crossett, AR, was born on August 17, 1994, to the parents of Corey Harrison, Sr. and Yolanda Johnson in Eldorado, AR. He departed this life on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, in Milwaukee, WI.

Corey was a member of Gates Chapel AME Church in Crossett, AR where he sang in the choir. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by Rev. Tyrone Brookfield. 

Corey graduated from Crossett High School in 2013. He loved sports, he played basketball and was a quarterback on the football team. Corey loved cooking, he always felt like he was the better cook. Most of all Corey was a protector of his siblings. He was loved by many and will be truly missed.

He was proceeded in death by one sister: Karonda Hodges, his maternal grandparents: Minda Gaston and Glen Ray Johnson( Blue), his paternal grandparents: Sharon and Melvin Harrison, Sr.; his great grandparents: Ruby and Charlie Gaston; one uncle: Chris Jackson and one cousin: Marquise Gaston.

He leaves to cherished memories, his parents:  Yolanda Johnson of Milwaukee, WI, Corey Harrison, Sr. of Crossett, AR, and Katherine Hodges of Crossett, AR; four sisters: Latrina Hodges of Arlington, TX, Tiffany Hodges of Milwaukee, WI, Shamequa Burks of Irving, TX and Erieona Blue of Milwaukee, WI; two brothers: Devonte Johnson of Conway, AR and DeMarco Hodges of Crossett, AR. A special niece: DakotaDaniels of Arlington, TX.  He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousin, other families and friends,

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the Mount Olive Baptist Church in North Crossett, AR.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday, June 17, 2022, at the chapel,

Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
