Charles Edward Reese

Charles Edward Reese was born in Dermott, Arkansas, on January 13, 1953, to the late McKinley and Mable Reese. He was raised in Boydell, Arkansas.

Charles accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Evergreen Baptist Church in Boydell, Arkansas. He attended Tillis High School in Portland, Arkansas. He went to work with his father on the farm for many years. He served in the Arkansas National Guard. He found his love for big trucks and drove trucks for 35-plus years where he met many people who became family and close friends. He was known as "Happy Jack" in the trucking world. He got Married to Francella Reese on March 21, 1976. He was a hard worker and dedicated to work and family. Charles was a gentle, loving man.

Charles peacefully left us on January 5, 2025, at the Woods of Monticello Nursing Home, Monticello AR. He was preceded in death by his parents, McKinley and Mable Reese, and His wife Francella Reese, 3 brothers Paul Thomas Reese, Larry Don Reese, and George Anthony Reese, and 2 sisters Georgia Reese and Everlena Taylor. A special Aunt, Ollie Graham, and a special uncle James Coakley Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory 4 children, 1 daughter, Maretta Jones of Katy TX, and 3 sons Tyree (Shaneka) Jones of Little Rock, Arkansas, Talton (Keisha) Reese Sr.  of Katy TX, Trevar (Ashley) Reese of Katy Tx 8 grandchildren Cedric Strauss Jr, Jaden Burr, Jada Burr, Talton Reese Jr, Prette Reese, Aaliyah Penister, Samaria Jones, and Trevon Jones. 3 Brothers McKinley (Gale) Reese Monticello, AR, Rickey Reese Monticello, AR, James (Michiyo) Okinawa, Japan 2 Sisters Dorothy Cummings and Jackie Reese of Little Rock AR. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the Christ Community Center ( formerly the Presbyterian Church) in Dermott AR.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetry in Boydell, AR under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
