Artenus Demero Cason was born on April 27, 1983 in Crossett, AR to John Cason and Mary Cason Thornton. Artenus completed his earthly journey on February 7, 2020 at Ashley County Medical Center.
Artenus, known by those who loved him as “Chit Chat,” was a Class of 2001 graduate from Crossett High School. He enjoyed basketball, track, martial arts, singing and writing poetry. Artenus was a very humble man who had a deep love for God and his family and he will be missed tremendously.
He leaves to cherish his memories: His father: John Cason (Sandra), his Mother: Mary Thornton; three brothers: Emilio F. Cason (Marita), Faustino S. Cason, and Mitchell Cason all of Crossett; AR; three sisters: Katlynn Smith of Crossett, AR, Yolonda Cole of Fort Smith, AR, and Yovonda Wimberly of Houston, TX; Two nephews: Jamar Cason and Kingston Cason and one niece: Sharetta Cason; He also leaves two special aunt: Ruby Phifer and Silver Scott; his special friend: Ashley Whaley along with a host of friends and classmates who held him dear to their hearts.
Funeral Service will be held at The Living Word Church of God in Christ on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 1:00 PM. Pastor Jerry Jefferson, Officiating
Visitation will be Friday, February 14, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at The Living Word Church of God In Christ.
Burial will follow in the Ryles Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
