Willie Mae Jackson-Simeon was born on April 20, 1954 to the union of the late Willie Lee Jackson and Jessie Mae Jackson. She was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 28, 2019. She was preceded in death by her father, 2 brothers, William Charles Jackson and Robert Lee Jackson, and a great-nephew, Braimian McMahon.
Willie Mae was baptized at an early age at Pilgrim Baptist Church in Winnsboro, Louisiana under the leadership of the late Reverend Eugene Lumpkin.
Willie Mae met and married Eddie "Ned" Simeon on July 4, 1998.
She leaves to cherish her memories: A loving husband: Eddie Simeon, a wonderful loving mother: Jessie Mae Jackson. 5 sisters: Georgia Williams (Clarence), Patricia White (Arthur), Jacqueline Sarpong (Solomon), Wanda Jackson, Ulonda White (Aaron). 2 brothers: James Kenney (Genese), King Pleasant (Sharon), all of Winnsboro. 16 nieces, 17 nephews, a host of great-nieces (Destiny Griffin), a host of great-nephews (Devin White), great-great-nieces/nephews, other relatives, and close friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Liberty Christian Center in Winnsboro, LA.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 at the church from 6-7.
Burial will follow in the Morning Star Cemetery in Fort Necessity, LA under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
