William Johnson Obituary

William Johnson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma  formerly of Lake Village, AR departed this life on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in Oklahoma City. William R. (Dennis) Johnson, Jr. was born September 4, 1965 to William R. Johnson, Sr. and the late Vera Johnson-Jackson.  He gave his life to Christ at a young age at Jerusalem Church in Lake Village, AR.

Dennis graduated from Lakeside High School, attended Job Corp and also did some schooling at Oklahoma University both in Oklahoma City, OK. He resided in Oklahoma City, OK where he ran his own landscaping company.

He was the eldest of his siblings & second oldest grandchild of the late J.W. & Rosie Lee Akins.  He loved sports which he played in school and also enjoyed teaching others.  He spent some of his youth with his aunt the late Edna Mae Akins.  He was loving, outgoing and very creative.  Dennis was loved by many far and beyond due to his enormous sense of humor and ability to make you smile no matter the circumstance.

He leaves to cherish his memories his father William R. (Renee) Johnson, Sr. of Chicago, IL; step father Curtis Jackson of Lake Village, AR; (2) sons, Somenneco (Latrina) Spann of San Antonio, TX & Tremaine Anderson of Aurora, IL; (2) grandsons Somenneco Jr & Somarion of San Antonio, TX; (7) brothers, Joe Willie Johnson of Fayetteville, AR, Lennor Johnson of California, Michael Johnson & Lynn Kilgore Johnson both of Lake Village, AR, Charles (Tisha) Johnson of Upper Marlboro, MD, Anthony (Janine) Johnson & Andy Johnson all of Fort Worth, TX; (4) sisters, Nancy Johnson of Lake Village, AR, Carolyn Akins- Jones of Upper Marlboro, MD, Valerie Johnson of Indiana and Yazmire  Johnson Jackson of Chicago, IL along with a host of aunt’s, uncle’s, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the Woodson Temple Church in Lake Village, AR.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M until service time at the church.

Burial will follow in the Red Leaf Cemetery in Lake Village, AR under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR
