Verna Mae Barnes

Sister Verna Mae Barnes was born on July 28, 1946 to Willis and Lillie Mae Reddick in Spearsville Louisiana. She departed this life on Tuesday November 20, 2018 at her residence in Bernice, LA surrounded by her loved ones.

Sister Verna united with the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and remained a faithful member until her death.

She was a member as the Eastern Star. She was one of 14 kids. 

She leaves to cherish her memories: Her husband: Eddie Barnes of Bernice, LA; three daughters: Teresa Gray of Dallas, TX, Kim Kennedy of Junction City, AR, Stephanie Gray of Del City, Oklahoma and step-daughter: DeQuita Dismuke of El Dorado, AR; one son: Richard Reddick of Texarkana, TX; two sisters: Dorothy Welch and Deborah Allen (Ronnie) and one brother Billy Ray Reddick; godson: Carlos Jones. She also leaves a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 24, 2018, at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Spearsville, LA.

Visitation will be held Saturday at the church also from 11 until service time.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Spearsville, LA under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR
