Shirley Ford-Sims of Crossett, AR was born to the Late Mrs. Daisie Mae Daniels and the late Hosie Ford on July 24, 1948. She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandmother Pauline Lindsey; four brothers: James “Pete” Williams, Kenneth R. Harris, Rogene Adams and James “Pappy” Adams; Two sisters Freddie Mae Harbison and Martha Sue Dawson.
Shirley attended Thomas Williams Daniel High School and she professed her hope in Christ. She was known as “Ford” to a lot of people and was loved by many. She did private health sitting. Shirley was married to the late Lee Sims.
Shirley departed this life on Saturday, Dec 28, 2019, at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, AR
She leaves to cherish her memories: Two daughters: Janelle Jones-Brown (Michael) and Veronica Smith-Gilmer (David) both of Crossett, AR; Two sisters: Carliss Adam of Oakland, CA and Pauline Minneweather of Crossett, AR 10 grandchildren: Tyrique Jones, Shania Brown, Mariah Brown, Shauytane Jones, Jocelyn Holmes, Demarico Smith, Dontez Smith, Amari Dempsey, Chyna Smith, and Roslyn Davis. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020, at 2:00 p.m.at First Baptist Church in Crossett, AR.
Visitation will be held from 11 until 7 Friday, January 3, 2020, at the chapel
Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetary under the directions Mitchell Memorial Funeral Home of Crossett, AR.
