Roy Lee Trotter was born May 18, 1948 in Warren Arkansas to the late Velma Davis and Troy Trotter. He attended Warren High School, where he graduated in 1966.

He was an employee for Potlatch of Warren, AR for 25 years, where he worked inside the mill, before he started driving log trucks. He then worked for Frank Burks of Burks Logging for 17 years, where he retired in 2010.

Roy Lee joined St. James A.M.E Church under the leadership of the late Rev. G.T. Blackmon. On Sunday September 3, 2017, Roy made his transition to his heavenly home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, His wife: Lennie Hines Trotter, One brother: James Wesley Trotter, Two nephews: James Wesley Trotter, Jr and Jemal Wilson.

He leaves to cherish his memories, One daughter: Katonya Bowie, Two grandchildren Kayla Dowell and Jazmin Dowell, both of Milwaukee, WI; One sister-in-law: Crivvsteen Green of Warren, AR. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.      

Funeral service will be at 2:30 pm Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the St James AME Church in Warren, AR

Burial will follow in the Palestine Cemetery in Johnsville, AR under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
