Robert William Gilbert

Robert William Gilbert was born on August 20, 1947 to Andrew Gilbert and Mattie C. Sanders-Gilbert in Crossett, AR. He passed away on June 8, 2018 at the home of his daughter. He was preceded in death by both parents, one daughter: Monica Gilbert and one grandson: DeAndre Gilbert

Robert graduated from TW Daniel High School on May 26, 1965. He was united in marriage to Cora Bea Watson-Gilbert in April 1968. Robert later moved to Rockford, Illinois where he worked for Chrysler Motors.  Afterward he moved back to Crossett and started working for Bemis. He later began to work for and retired from the city of Crossett. 

He Leaves to Cherish His Memories: One son: Geno Gilbert of Hermitage, Arkansas, One daughter: Rejetta Belin (Fred) of Camden, Arkansas; nine grandchildren: Dale, Chris, Ty, Monta, Quinella, Trey, Kaneisha and NaKeidra. A especially son-in-law that he always called Brother Fred and a host of loved ones and friends.
 

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, June 15, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Crossett, AR.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 11 until 7 at the chapel of Mitchell Memorial.

Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
