Monique Bankston

Monique Jeneé Bankston was born to Tina Bankston and Robert Thompkins on June 17, 1987 in Crossett, AR. She was a lifelong resident of Crossett, AR. Monique had a loving heart and she was known for loving her family. She loved helping people and she didn’t meet a stranger. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, a person who was beautiful inside out.

 Monique worked at Brookshires in Crossett, AR until her health failed her. She went to school at Crossett High School where she graduated in 2005. She then continued her education at the University of Pine Bluff and the University of Monticello. Monique went to church at the Epistles of God Church of Deliverance under the leadership of Dr. Mary Arnold.

On Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at UAMS in Little Rock, AR at the age of 32, Monique passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her uncles: Michael Bankston and Charlie Bankston; Her paternal grandmother: Patsy Stanton and her aunt: Charlotte Stanton.
She Leaves To Cherish Her Memories: Her mother: Tina Bankston of Crossett, AR and her father: Robert Thompkins of Crossett, AR; her grandparents: Charles and Jacqueline Bankston both of Crossett, AR; one sister: Briana (Neal) of Crossett, AR, four brothers: Maurice Bankston wife Kaylee of Alexandria, VA, Broderick Bankston and O’Bryan Bankston of Crossett, AR and Reginal Stanton of Northport, AL; special friend: Terence L. Adkins of Crossett, AR; uncle Vincent Bankston of Crossett, AR; aunts: Jan Bankston, Vanessa Bankston both of Crossett, AR, and Pamela Taylor husband William of Olathe, KS; She held a special place in her heart for her niece: Au’Brianna Tatum, nephews: Se’Marion Tatum, Bristen and Brylan Bankston; cousin/sister: Adrianna Jones of Denton, TX; and her second mom: Dorothy Danzy “ Mama Dot” of Crossett, AR; A host of loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday,  October 23, 2019 at 1:00 PM. at the Davis Memorial Church in Crossett, AR.

Visitation will be held from 11 until 7 on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the chapel.

Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetery  under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR
