Jimmie McHenry

Jimmy McHenry of Crossett, AR was born in Parkdale AR to the late Jim McHenry and Annie Mae Savage. On June 14, 2019, at the age of 81, Mr. McHenry passed away at the Somerset Senior Living Nursing Home in Crossett Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his son Bobby McHenry, his parents, four brothers, and four sisters. 

Mr. McHenry was married to Joyce McHenry where they shared 27 years of marriage together. 

He worked at Georgia Pacific for 21 years. He was a member of Living Word Church of God in Christ. 

Mr. McHenry enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes and visiting with his family and friends. He will be remembered for being humble, being good-hearted, and having an amazing memory and sense of humor. 

He leaves to cherish his wife of 27 years: Joyce McHenry of Crossett, AR; 10 children: Judy (Walter) Phillips of Wiggins, MS, Harvey (Jennie) McHenry of Augusta, Ga, Jimmy Jr. (Tonya) McHenry of Puyallup, WA, John L. (Stephanie) McHenry of Garland, TX, Randolph (Louann) McHenry Mesquite, TX, Berlyn (Sandria) McHenry Ellenwood, GA, Jacklyn (Raymon) Tanzy of Bossier City, LA, Victoria Tatum of McKinney, TX, Hayward (Katherine) Tatum of Fountain Hill, AR, and  Mario Tatum of Crossett Arkansas. 2 sisters Cora (Robert) Caldwell and Queen Esta (Price) Hamilton both of Crossett, AR17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews

Funeral service will be held at 11:00, Saturday, June 22, 2019, at the Living Word Church of God in Christ in Crossett, AR.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019, at 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the chapel.

Burial will follow in the Childress Chapel Cemetery in Parkdale, AR under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
