James Mitchell Tate entered this world December 18, 1946 in Crossett Arkansas. This birth brought joy to his parents, Jimmy and Annie Davis-Tate, both preceded him in death.
James was blessed to be a part of a large family, with 10 brothers and 3 sisters. He received his education from TW Daniel School. He worked as a serviceman for Crossett C Mart for several years then he later moved to Wichita Falls, Texas and worked as a serviceman there as well. He then moved to Little Rock, Arkansas where he went to truck driving school and was employed as a truck driver until his health begin to fail. Later he moved back to Crossett to be close to his family. He had a very special brother, Aubrey who labored and cared for him until his homegoing. He departed this life on February 25, 2018 just as gracefully as his life begin. For those who knew him our hearts aches over the major loss of his presence in our lives.
James was not only preceded in death by his parents but also his brother: Willie Tate, two sisters Jannie Mae Jameson and Tressie Cromwell and a special niece Katheryn Hubbard.
He leaves to cherish his memories nine brothers: Charles Ray Tate, Aubrey Tate (Redenna), Jesse Tate, Jimmy Tate, Ricky Tate, Andre Tate and Jeffrey Tate ( LaJetta) all of Crossett Arkansas, Oscar Tate of Bastrop Louisiana and John Tate of San Bernardino California, one sister: Darlene Tate of Crossett, Arkansas.
