Harvey Dixon was born in Marion, LA on September 17, 1948 to Beatrice and Clinton Dixon. He grew up in Litroe, LA and attended school at the Eastside High School.
On July 26, 1977 he was united in holy matrimony to Ida Bell Dixon and to this union one child was born.

He joined Friendship Baptist Church at an early age and later in life he joined St. Paul Baptist Church until God called him home. On Saturday, October 28, 2017 God called Harvey to eternal rest and reward. He was preceded in death by his parents: Clinton and Beatrice Dixon; Three brothers Andrew, Clinton Jr, and Mac Arthur; One sister Earnestine Blake.

Harvey leaves to cherish and celebrate his memories

One daughter: Andrea Dixon of El Dorado, AR and One son: Waundarryl (Candance)Evans of Irving, TX; Four grandchildren: Kiera, Kameron, Andrea, and Tempest; Four brothers: Idell Dixon of Antioch, CA, LC Dixon of Marion, LA, Robert (Vera)Dixon of El Cerrito, CA and Willie Dixon(Betty) of Vallejo, CA and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the St Paul Baptist Church #1 in Marion, LA.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Nov 4, 2017 from 11:00 am until service time.

Burial will follow at the St Paul Cemetery #1 in Marion, LA under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
