Essie Pylot

Essie Mae Pylot 65 yrs old of El Dorado, Arkansas passed away Tuesday May 21, 2019 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas due to a lengthy illness.

Essie was born to the late Mattie Mae Thompson and R.D. Thompson in Huttig, Arkansas. Later in life she attended Job Corps in McKinney, Texas.  Essie was a homemaker who loved fishing, gardening, and cooking. 

Essie was married to Sydney K. Pylot, Jr. for 22 years.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents:, Mattie and R. D. Thompson, two sons: Anthony Fields and Marcus Thompson; one stepson; Brian O'Neal Pylot; three Brothers: Ivy Lee King Huey P. King, and Mozell Waters.

She is survived by her husband: Sydney Pylot; two daughters: Sherria Buffington and  Phaley Thompson both of El Dorado, Arkansas,  One son: James Thompson also El Dorado, Arkansas, a step daughter: Nikki Johnson of California, Three Sisters: Faye Loggins of Strong, Arkansas, Shirley Thompson and Dorothy Pierce Huttig, Arkansas one brother Ernest “Jody” Thompson (BJ) of Huttig, Arkansas; 20 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews and other family members

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, May 27, 2019 at the Phillippian Church of God in Christ in Huttig, AR

Visitation will be held Sunday May 26, 2019 at 3:00 pm at the Miles Memorial Church of God in Christ in El Dorado Arkansas

Burial will follow in the Batts Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR
