Esserlean McCoy-Burns was born on December 23, 1950, to John and Verlean McCoy in Warren, Arkansas. Heaven received an angel on October 2, 2018, when she departed quietly after about the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Esserlean received Christ at an early age as her Lord and Savior under the leadership of Pastor Eddie Hampton, Sr. she later rededicated herself to her Christian Journey at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church.
Esserlean spent her school-age years in Warren where she attended Bradley County High School and was a member of Class of 1969.
Esserlean was married to John L Walls in 1966 and to this union, three children were born. She was later married Nathaniel Burns who preceded her in death.
Esserlean was a long-time employee of Masonite/Sykes Flooring. In her later years, she was employed by the South Arkansas Human Development Center where she retired in 2015. Throughout the years, her amazing sense of humor, sharp wit and affectionate laughter will be her trademark.
She leaves to cherish her memories three children: Londoria Walls of Warren, Arkansas; Felontonio (Desha) Walls of Crosby, Texas and Detrick (Pamela) Walls of Dallas, Texas. Nine grandchildren: Shuntoria (Delvin) Walls-Shipp, Dyisha Walls, Keddrin Walls, Ta Che’via Walls, Recardo Walls, Detrick walls, Jr., TaMya Walls, Zoe Walls and Hannah Walls.
.Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Warren, AR.
Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
