I, Charles Edward Hampton, was born on August 3, 1954 to the late Rev. Dallas and Elizabeth (Carney) Hampton. I am the 12th of 17 children and a lifelong resident of Crossett, AR. I accepted Christ at an early age and later became a member of Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church.
I “C-Hamp” enjoy life to the fullest. My hobbies are sports, dancing, eating and family gatherings. I graduated from Crossett High School, class of 1972. Shortly thereafter I enlisted in the United States Army. After receiving an honorable discharge, I entered the workforce as a house mover.
I am deceased now and am preceded in death by; both parents, 7 brothers and 4 sisters.
My survivors are as follows: 3 sisters; Bulah Daniels of Crossett, Leola (Thomas) Davis and Lois Hampton of California. 3 brothers; Billy (Betty) Hampton, Johnnie Hampton and Roy Hampton of Crossett. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
As my life story is concluded, just remember me as I am and never forget. I lived my life on my terms and, with all due respect, “Imma do what I wanna do!” (ha,ha,ha)
