Basil Lamarn Hendrix was born to the late Wanda Kay Hendrix on April 14, 1975 in Crossett, AR and shortly after, he was adopted by Linda and the late Sylvester Tucker.
As a young boy, he accepted Christ and throughout his life, along with having a kind spirit and caring heart, he was well known for being protective of his family and loved ones. He attended Crossett High School where he graduated in 1994. A few years later he moved to Texas, and over the years started self-owned businesses. Never forgetting Crossett as his real home, he became a true Texan, residing there for nearly 20 years. If you knew Basil, you knew he loved his family, friends, football and his Dallas Cowboys.
Basil was preceded in death by his birth mother: Wanda Kay Hendrix; his grandmother: Laura Tucker; two sisters: June Tucker and LaTonya Tucker and his father Sylvester Tucker.
He leaves to cherish his memories: His grandmother: Mary Lee Hendrix of Crossett, AR; his mother: Linda Tucker of Crossett, AR; one daughter: Andrina Caldwell of Little Rock, AR; his siblings: Sandy (James Webb) of Crossett, AR, Randy Boyd of Arlington, TX, Mandy (Lirie) Montgomery of Crossett, AR, Chelsa Tyson of Crossett, AR, Angela (Anthony) Warren of Waukegan, IL, Ashley (Deroderick) Hobbs of Bastrop, LA, Quintisha (JaCarlo) Whaley of Crossett, AR and Marshata Tucker of Crossett, AR. Five grandchildren: Kailen Hampton, Ariel Tillis, Taylor Tillis, Andraya Allen, and Jawann Burks, Jr. A special daughter Simone Rogers and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the Gates Chapel AME Church in Crossett, AR.
Burial will follow in the Ryles Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
