Quaneric"Rudy" Devunte’ Hicks  was born on November 10, 1994 in Bastrop, Louisiana to Disher Sutton and Coretta Hicks.  Mr. Hicks 22 years of age left us on September 8, 2017 with his family by his side in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Mr. Hicks was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Carrie Jean Curry Hicks; his aunts Beatrice Evans Brown and Anita Taylor Chandler; his great grandfather James Sutton Sr.

Mr. Hicks graduated from Louisiana National Guard Youth Challenge 2011.  During his life he worked at Clay Cooley  and the Bank of New York Mellon of Dallas, TX until he became ill.

He was a lover of working on cars, collecting vintage cars, guns and he loved the out doors.  One of his desire was to own a couple acres of land to put his business and work on cars.

Mr. Hicks gave his life to the Lord and committed to serving him faithfully until his death.

He leaves to cherish his memories, to his loving, faithful, caring and dear wife of 3 years Shantiesha Hicks of Dallas, TX; his father Disher Sutton of Alexandria, LA; his loving and caring mother Coretta Hicks of Dallas, TX; his two sisters Shunteasesia Hicks of Dallas, TX and Di’Sherra Ridgell of Bastrop, LA; one brother Ditavious Ridgell of Monroe, LA; his maternal grandfather Raymond Hicks of Bastrop, LA; his paternal grandparents Rosie and Ronald Davis of Bastrop, LA; Jerry Gaines of Texas; his paternal great grandmother Ella Burks Sutton and a niece Kaylie Marie Hicks that his held so dear to his heart. He leaves seven uncles Raymond Curry (Cynthia),  Mitchell Hicks, Toney Taylor (April), Robert (April), Mario Taylor, Jarvis (Shemeka Taylor of Bastrop, LA; Tavius Hicks of Dallas, TX, Eric Hicks of Louisville, Kentucky; Six Aunts Charlie Faye Moore (T-Arthur) of Wilmot, AR; Claudia Matthews, Latrice Sutton, Karnesia Sutton of Bastrop, LA; Nichole Payne (Solomon Payne Sr.) of Hot Springs, AR; Alicia Hicks of Kansas MO; a special father figure Gregory Fields and special mother Loretta fields; and a host of cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, September 15, 2017 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at New Life Temple in Bastrop, LA.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 16, 2017 at New Life Temple in Bastrop, LA..

Burial will follow in the H. V. Adams Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR
