Peggy Ann Bolden was born on December 13, 1952 to the late James R. Benson and Mary Lee Norris. She was raised by her late aunt and uncle Liddie and Will Norman and also by James and Dorothy Benson. Sister Peggy Bolden quietly ascended into the arms of her Savior on Friday, October 21, 2016 in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
Sister Peggy united with the Westside Church of Christ at a young age where she remained a faithful servant until the Lord called her home. She was a 1971 graduate of Crossett High School. Sister Peggy enjoyed cooking, fishing, and being with family and her brothers and sisters in Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years: Willie Bolden, Jr., her parents: James R. Benson, Mary Lee Norris, Liddie Norman, and Will Norman; her brothers: Earl Benson, Willie B. Washington, Marshall “MJ” Washington, Jerry Jackson and Larry Jackson; her sister: Fredia Baxter.

Her stepmother: Dorothy Benson of Hot Springs, AR; Two daughters: Katina (Larry) Federson of Las Vegas, NV and LaKesha (Eric) Douglas of Wake Forest, NC; Two sons: Terrence (Latoria) Bolden of Arlington, TX and Cedric Bolden of Pittsburgh, TX; One stepson: Tyrone Miller; Two grandsons: Darius Douglas and Terrion Bolden; Four granddaughters: Brionna Douglas, Shariah Bolden, Zaria Bolden, and Milan Bolden; Four brothers: Gary (Carolyn ) Benson of Conway, AR, Eddie (Jean) Wagner of Jacksonville, AR, James Jackson of Shreveport, LA and McArthur Norris of Atlanta, GA; Two sisters: Sherry Dunlop and Thelma Vaughn both of Shreveport, LA; One step-brother Peter Vinson. Five step-sisters: Gloria (Reggie) Carter, Teresa Hamilton, Gwen (Art) Bradford, Valerie Vinson and Delorse Johnson; a special friend, Walter Hinson and a host of other relatives and friends.
. Funeral service will be held Saturday October 29, 2016 at the Westside Church of Christ at 12:00 pm. Visitation at the the chapel of Mitchell Memorial from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Friday, October 28, 2016. Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
