Martha Ann Cleveland was born January 3, 1936 in the St. Paul community of Warren, AR to the late Jessie and Martha Jane Ellis York. She was the 5th child of 11 children.

She was a loyal and faithful member of the Church of Christ that meets at 1101 W Central St. in Warren, AR for many years. Martha lived her early adult life in Los Angeles, CA. After returning to Arkansas she worked several jobs. She loved playing cards and games with family and friends.

Martha made her peaceful transition at the Hickory Heights Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility in Little Rock, AR on Thursday, May 19, 2016. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, David Hardaway York and LaShaunda Diane York, and five siblings, Clifton York, Otha York, Herbert York, Lucille Roberson and twin Mary Pickett.

She Leaves to Cherish and Celebrate Her Life:

Four sons: Kenois York (Marion) of Little Rock, AR, David York (Linda) of Warren, AR, Guy York (Linda) of Little Rock, AR, Franklin Hill of Los Angeles, CA; Five Sisters: Francyne Bowie (Jesse), Bennie Bowie, Georgia Britt, Loretta Bull, And Thelma Hunter (Harold);  Eleven grandchildren: Cicely Wilson (Sandy), Charonda Rushing (Joseph), Janniece York, Kenois York, Sarah York, Clarice Hill, Arin Hill, Alexis Hill, Allison Hill, Ahmand Hill, Austin Hill; great-grandchildren: Deveante Davis, Estacheana Davis, Alyssa Rushing, Aiden Moore York, Sandy Seth Eugene Wilson, IV and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral service will be held Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the West Central Church of Christ in Warren, AR. Visitation will be from 9 until service time at the church. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
