Marcus LaRoy Williams was born to Willie and Euphemia Williams on January 01, 1963. He was born in Mobile, AL. From this union Marcus was the eldest of five and the only male. He graduated from Crossett High School in 1981. He also graduated from DeVry Institution in Dallas, TX. Upon graduation and returning home he began working at Georgia Pacific until death. He accepted Christ and added to the church on November 19, 1989. He was a faithful servant and a great biblical reference.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Theodore and Euphemia Toodle, his paternal grandparents: Willie and Annie Mae Williams, one infant sibling and his adopted dad Mr. H.L. Leichmon.
Marcus was an avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing and hunting. Marcus also was a servant of God If you needed a scripture Marcus could provide not just one but several in the pursuit of understanding and truth. Marcus was a quiet and gentle man, an excellent conversationalist in God’s word.
He was survived by his parents: Willie Williams of Mobile, AL and Euphemia Williams of Crossett, AR; Four sisters: Copresia Austin (Eddie) of Crossett, AR, Carla Sims of Buckeye, AZ, Fristanna L. Bryant (Charles) of Crossett, AR and Jennifer Pugh (Bryant) of Mobile, AL; One brother: Timothy Williams of Mobile, AL. Two nieces: Euphemia T. Robinson and Chauncey A. Olive. Tracy Leichmon (Patricia) of Strong, AR and Jimmy Leichmon (Wanda) of Camden, AR.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Pine Street Church of Christ in Crossett, AR.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM at the chapel of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service.
Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
