Lorraine Hinson was born July 8, 1941 in Union County Arkansas to John L. and Orine Hinson.  She was the 5th child to this union. On Monday, November 6, 2017, at Cornerstone Hospital in West Monroe, Louisiana, Lorraine transitioned from this Earthy home to her Heavenly home. 
     She was a 1959 graduate of Gardner High School in Strong, Arkansas.  Shortly after graduating, she moved to Kansas City, Kansas.  She graduated from to Madam CJ Walker’s Cosmetology School and became a part-time hair dresser while working at Western Electric.  She completed CNA training at Medical Lodge North.

She had 4 children: Mischon, Keenan (deceased), Valyncia (Shane) and Malieka (Hilary).

She had 9 grandchildren Schiantel, Raymond, Andre, Kymquisha, Erica, Zoe, Kierra, Zaria and Zion.  She also had 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 4 brothers and 3 sisters: Willie Bell, Maxine, Ralph, Patience, Walter, Roger and Bruce.

Funeral service will be Monday, November 13, 2017 at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Strong, AR at 11:00 AM.  

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time.

Burial will follow in the Pilgram Rest Cemetery in Strong, AR under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
