Karonda C. Hodges was born on August 24, 1979 in Crossett, AR to the late Willie Earl “Nick” Hodges and Katherine Townsend Hodges. She departed this life on January 9, 2017 at the Jefferson Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR. She was preceded in death by her father Willie Earl “Nick” Hodges and son Jadacus Hodges.

Karonda received her early education in the Crossett Public Schools and graduated from Cluster High School in Milwaukee, WI in 1998.

Karonda joined Gates Chapel A.M.E. Church, where she attended faithfully with her children under the leadership of Rev. Tyrone Broomfield. Karonda was an employee of the Crossett Headstart.

Karonda was a true friend to many and everyone who came in contact with her. She loved her children, her family, her friends, and her church. She just loved people in general. Karonda enjoyed life, she was a kindhearted person whom always carried a smile on her face, yet very outspoken.

She Leaves To Cherish Her Memories: Her mother: Mrs. Katherine Townsend Hodges of Crossett, AR. Two Daughters: Daisha Hodges and Miracle Hodges both of Crossett, AR. Four Sons: Wendal Martin of Little Rock, AR, Shamar Hodges, De’Marion Hodges and Collin Hodges all of Crossett, AR. Two Sisters: Tiffany Hodges of Milwaukee, WI and Latrina Hodges of Arlington, TX. Two Brothers: Demarco Hodges and Corey Hodges both of Crossett, AR. Special Friends: Robert Kitchens and Kershana Hudson. One Niece: Denya Hodges and 
One Nephew: Jalen Hudson. She had many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

 Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Gates Chapel A.M.E. Church in Crossett, AR at 11:00 a.m.  Visitation Friday January 13, 2017 from 3:00 to 7:00 at chapel. Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
