Jerry Champion was born to the late Rosie Smith and Henry Champion on August 15, 1961, he departed this life on December 18, 2016 in Little Rock, AR. Jerry is preceded in death by both parents, his daughter: Rekall Champion, his grandmother: Verda Smith, a special aunt: Marilyn Smith, Two uncles: Clemmie Smith and George Smith, and a special cousin: Edward V. Newton. 

Jerry was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church and he went to Strong High School.

One Sister: Priscilla A. Champion; Two brothers: Marty B. Champion and Gregory H. Smith; Two Aunts: Ollie Faye Lumsey and Ida Lee Champion. Ten nieces and nephew: La’Tronda A. Champion, Hybranyunta J. Champion, Kiara D. Champion, Marquisha M. Champion-Wysinger (Tommy Wysinger), Marty B. Champion, Jr., Marsha B. Champion, Takeisha R. Champion, Conisha Hill, DaMario Ellison and Briana Smith. Ten great-nieces and nephews: Amanayunnia Montgomery, Damarion Champion, Anneshiayunnia Heard, Antonyunnia Hicks, Datonyeion Hicks, JaMarcus Hicks, Jaunee Andrews, Miracle Wysinger, Desire Champion, and KD Hills. A host of loved ones.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Strong, AR at 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow in the Gill Cemetery in Strong, AR under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
