Janice Marie Thurman departed this life on August 3, 2015 in Monticello, AR. Miss Janice Thurman also known as “Jan” to family and friends, was born on March 1, 1960 to the late Rose Marie Thurman.
She was preceded in death by One brother: Napoleon “Pete” Thurman; Three Aunts: Norma Jean Arrington, Ethel Lene Harris and Ollie Bee Avery; Three uncles: Freddie Brown, Leon Kendrex and James Willis “Snoop” Thurman.
She leaves to cherish her memories: One sister Christine Thurman of Crossett, AR, Two brothers: Othel R Rhodes of Milwaukee, WI and Quinton Thurman of Wilmar, AR.  Two Aunts: Etha Mae Jackson of Warren, AR and Irma L Tate of Crossett, AR. One uncle: Levi Thurman of Wilmar, AR.  A Special Cousin: Johnny Dukes of Warren, AR

Funeral service will be held Saturday August 15, 2015, at 11:00 A.M.at the Greater Shady Grove A.M.E. Church in Wilmar AR.
Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Burial will follow in the Turner Hill Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR
