Joe Willis Fisher was born April 24, 1929 in Wilmar Arkansas to the late Mattie Bell Jones and the late William Fisher. He peacefully made his transition from earth to glory on December 25, 2017 surrounded by family and friends. He was preceded in death by both parents, Step-mother Jessie B. Fisher, Sister Evelyn Morgan, and Step-brother Clinton Webb.

Joe accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Greater Shady Grove A.M.E. Church in his youth and later became a member of Holmes Chapel Presbyterian Church.
Joe was very ambitious and was known for his work ethic. In fact, Joe worked until he was no longer able to. He held several positions throughout his life at reputable companies such as, Potlach, J.P Price, and Wilson Oak Flooring. Moreover, he was a kind man who would befriend anyone who crossed his path. He enjoyed talking with his friends and watching westerns with his sister Peggy. In addition, he loved taking long walks in Wilmar and Monticello.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Two sisters namely, Peggy Fisher and Jessie Watkins both of Wilmar, Arkansas. Three brothers Gean Coleman of Flint, Michigan, Leroy Hill and Tyroe Hill both of Dermott, Arkansas along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 28, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Shady Grove AME Church in Wilmar, AR

Burial will follow in the Wilmar Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
